Recently I had the opportunity to sit in a friend's back yard garden with my watercolors and my large Moleskine sketchbook. The variety of greens assaulting my eyes was almost overwhelming. I had thought I would do a full page of the lushness, but just had to scale down. So here is my page of vignettes, and another small piece, a watercolor postcard of the fabulous BLUE chairs. I must get out more.
Lovely to see what you've been sketching....
ReplyDeleteThe greens are lovely, but it;s the blue chairs that really jump off the page. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love green; it is my favorite color! But, I have the hardest time painting it, especially if there a lot of it! I think you did a great job of focusing in on just a few plants. These turned out very well! I also like those blue chairs! Very attractive!
ReplyDeleteI loved the bright blue chairs...and corresponding green leaves..fresh...!!
ReplyDeleteVery well done--I especially like the perspective you achieved with the chairs.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love the bright green and the dark green combination. So vivid and clear, and fresh looking! =)
ReplyDeleteI like the perspective on both of these, the chairs really stand out.

And - I'm sorry to answer so late - you asked me some times ago for the title of a book I had drawn - it's called : "La première marche" by Isabelle Minière.
It's one of my all-time favorite colors ^^ and you did a wonderful job with it. I like how they are all vibrant and glowing.
